The surroundings are serene and clean. You will travel by car from Kigali, Rwanda, to Goma, where you will connect to the Grande Barrier before traveling to Tchegera Island.
During your visit, you can participate in a variety of island activities. the kayaking, a boat ride, and snorkeling. The journey begins and ends where it is most convenient for you and takes place in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in central Africa. There is coverage for meals, travel, lodging, and other expenses.
Detailed Trip
Day 1: Kigali to Goma D.R. Congo
You will meet our company's driving guide on this day at the prearranged meeting location, have a short pre-trip discussion, and then set out on a 6-7-hour journey to Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. While en way, you will stop for lunch and stop at a few intriguing locations. You will verify the documents when you pass the beautiful Rwanda-Congo border station. Drive to the visitor center in Grande Barrier from where a boat will take you to your lodging on Tchegera Island. Dinner and a calm nap are the perfect way to end the day.
Day 2: Full day at Tchegera Island
Spend the early hours of the day engaging in the various activities on and around the island following a hearty breakfast at the resort. Kayaking, snorkeling, and other activities on a boat ride where you can observe various aquatic animals. Up until dusk, when you will return to the lodge for refreshments, dinner, and a tranquil nap, lunch will be a part of the festivities. To participate in the various activities on the island, no specific abilities are required.
Day 3: Departure
You must check out of the lodge after breakfast in order to be transferred to the pre- arranged drop-off location, which may be in Goma or Kigali, Rwanda. Our driver guide will accompany you the entire way and provide a free city tour in Kigali where you may see the Genocide Memorial Museum, historical sites, and local marketplaces to pick up some last-minute gifts.
