Day 1: Arrival In Juba
Arrival in Juba. Meet the guide and drive to the hotel, not far from the Nile and Konyo Konyo central market, best place to feel the pulse of the city. Introduction to South Sudan and chat with the guide about the plans for the day. Change some money and visit the market area and old Juba town. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight
Day 2: Juba – Mundari Cattle Camp (3h)
Breakfast. Introduction to Nile River cattle rearing cultures: Dinka and Mundari, the differences between them and their present day situation. After the explanation in the hotel we will visit the Murle refugee camp near one of Juba’s oldest mosques and the British botanical garden, small but interesting, just beside the White Nile.
Have lunch in a Syrian restaurant and after some rest we will drive to the Mundari territory. Arrival at the Mundari cattle camp with several thousand heads of long horned cows and bulls. We will see the arrival of the animals to their sleeping grounds by 6 pm in the evening. Meet the young Mundari and admire the tight relationship with their cattle. Sleep near the cattle camp. Overnight in tents.
Day 3: Mundari Cattle Camp – Juba – Flight Back Home (3h)
Breakfast. Farewell from the Mundari tribe and drive back to Juba. Last visits and shopping. Day use at Royal Palace Hotel. At the appointed time transfer to the airport for international flight back home.
