Overview

The 10 days Uganda safari is one of the best safaris which will make your visit to the Pearl of Africa colourful. Uganda is one of the countries with beautiful and interesting tourist attractions among others are the 10 national parks such as Bwindi impenetrable national Park, Kibale National Park, Murchison falls National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and many more but this safari will take you to these mentioned national parks. Not only the above, but you will also visit cultural, memorial sites. Additionally, you will also have high chances of spotting the big five animals such as Rhinos in Ziwa Sanctuary and the other four in national parks which will make your visit to Uganda interesting and on top of that, visit the second deepest lake in Africa which is Lake Bunyonyi.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe national airport to Murchison falls National Park

Since it's the first day of your 10 days Uganda safari, you will be welcomed by our representative together with the driver guide who will give you a short briefing on the journey and after the briefing, he will drive you to Murchison falls National Park. On your way to the park, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where you get a chance of spotting one of the big five animals, Rhinos. After, you will continue with the journey up to your lodge near the park for your dinner and night stays as you wait for your next activity the following day.

Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise

On the second day of your Uganda safari, you will first have breakfast at your lodge and then your driver's guide will take you to the starting point where you will meet a park ranger who will brief you about the do's and don'ts while in the park. On this drive, you will have a look at the different wildlife such as African elephants, giraffes, buffalos, monkeys, and some bird species since the park is home to over 451 bird species.

After the game drive, your driver together with the guide will drive you and take you for a boat cruise which is mostly done on either Victoria, Albert or Buligi tracks. During this experience, you will encounter animals such as the hippos predators such as lions and bird species like the Egyptian plovers and the bee-eaters. After this experience, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and night stays.

Day 3 Transfer to Kibale National Park and visit Isunga cultural community Association

On this 3rd day of your 10 days Uganda safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge and then transfer to Kibale National Park where on your way you will have different stopovers like one in the tea plantations. Have lunch in Fort portal town Uganda’s tourist city and then proceed to Isunga Cultural Community Association a community Base organization aimed at conserving wildlife and protecting culture at the deg of Kibale national park. The local guide will take you through a community tour where you will visit the different homesteads for Bakiga and Batooro, discover the different crops grown here, and not forget a great view of Lake Nyabikere a crater lake in this village and many more others. support the locals' income through purchasing some handmade crafts from their shop. Your driver will drive you to one of the nearby lodges for dinner and a night's stay.

Day 4: chimpanzee trekking in Kibale and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast at your lodge on this fourth day of your 10 days Uganda safari. Your driver will drive you to the starting point which is the Kanyanchu visitors centre where you will meet a park ranger who gives you a quick briefing about the rules and regulations followed when trekking. Kibale National Park is one of the tourist destinations which covers an area of 795 square kilometres famous for homing over 10 primates including the chimpanzees hence the name primate capital of the world.

Chimpanzee trekking is one of the best and most interesting experiences that you will never forget in your life. This activity normally takes three hours. The park is also home to about 370 bird species including the endemic bird species in the park, the green-breasted pitta, African pitta great blue turacos and many more. After the above, drive to your lodge for lunch and later drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

On the morning of your 5th day, have breakfast at your lodge and head for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector where you will spot animals such as elephants, giraffes, Uganda jobs, leopards and the rare climbing lions. Additionally, you can also decide to go to lake Katwe Salt Lake and see men mining. In the evening, head for a boat cruise which is mostly done at the Kazinga channel where you will have high chances of spotting hippos, crocodiles and some bird species since the park homes over 575 bird species.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National park

After having breakfast at your lodge, you will drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will spot some rare tree- climbing lions having lunch en route arriving at Bwindi in the evening. Optionally when you arrive early, you may decide to go for the Batwa experience and then have dinner and a night's stay at your lodge as you wait for the next activity.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

After your breakfast, the driver will drive you to the starting point where you will be welcomed by the ranger who will give you a quick briefing about gorilla trekking. This activity normally takes 4-8 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas and after return back to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking certificate and return to the lodge for dinner and night stays as done above.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

On this 8th day of your 10 days Uganda safari, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is sometimes called the Switzerland of Africa. This is so because of its beautiful hills and being very cold. The place is also attractive hence providing a scenic view of the hills of Kigezi. Furthermore, you will also explore the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika.

Day 9: Boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi then to lake Mburo National Park

On this 9th day of your 10 days Uganda safari, you will have a boat cruise at Lake Bunyonyi and have a look at the 32 islands on the lake each with its story not forgetting islands such as the punishment island, Bashara islands and leper's islands and to you can have a look of some bird species and again learn more about the people living near the lake. Later transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover in Mbarara city for lunch arriving at Lake Mburo National Park late in the evening. Have a dinner and night's stay at one of your selected lodges around.

Day 10: Game drive and departure

On this last day of your 10 days Uganda safari, have breakfast at your lodge and after the driver guide together with a park ranger will take you for a game drive where you will spot a variety of wildlife such as Impalas, Zebras, buffalos and the newly introduced giraffes which will make your trip interesting. In the meantime, Return to your lodge for lunch. After, prepare yourself the driver guide will drive you back to Entebbe national airport and then fly back home.
