5 Days Kibale and Murchison Falls National Park Safari leaves you engraved with memories worth a life time. Kibale National Park is found in the Western part of Uganda and is known for its big population of Chimpanzees. It is considered the best place for wild chimpanzee tracking on earth and it covers 766 kilometers. It is approximately a 5-hour drive to Kibale National Park. Murchison falls National Park is the biggest National Park in Uganda located in the Northwest with the most powerful waterfall in the world. It covers 3893 square kilometers. It is a 4-6-hour drive to Murchison falls.

Day 1: Travel to Kibale National Park
The driver guide gives you a brief orientation on conduct early in the morning before you set off from the hotel where you spent the previous night. The journey immediately starts after breakfast and have a stopover in Fort Portal Town for lunch. From here, head straight to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi community
Early morning breakfast at the lodge and move to the park headquarters. Briefing conducted by the park guides and then go for chimpanzee tracking in the forest. This takes between 1-6 hours to locate the primates, depending on the distance the chimps might have moved. This is an adventurous activity where you will start hearing screams and noises of the chimpanzees as you draw closer and deep into the moist tropical forest.

The afternoon is for Bigodi community to have an upclose experience with the local people. Here, be sure of tasting the local delicacies, enjoying traditional performances and personal conversations with the community members at your wish.

Day 3: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park
Morning breakfast and departure from Kibale National Park to Murchison falls. The part is found at shores of Lake Albert, 218 km from Kibale. This is roughly a full day drive and a lunch stopover will be in Hoima town.

Day 4: Morning game and Boat cruise
Game drives are best done at dusk. This is as early as 6am after a very early breakfast. The game drive will be in the northern section of the park for its dominated with a Savannah vegetation that is, short savannah woodland shrubs and an open grassland. Using the Buligi track, you will spot many wild animals like buffalos, lions, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs and many others. This is take 2 hours.

Boat cruise after lunch. This is one of the most entertaining activity that a tourist can’t leave out. There are various animals that you can come see for example hippopotamus, warthogs, crocodiles, elephants, water birds and others. The boat gets close to the animals giving you chance to take clear pictures.

Day 5: Travel back to Kampala.
Just after breakfast, check out of the lodge and start the journey back to Kampala. Along the way, have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to trek the white rhinos in their natural habitats and then proceed straight to Kampala to an accommodation facility of your choice or direct to the airport to catch up your flight back home.
