The trip will first take you to Bwindi impenetrable forest national for trekking the giant mountain gorillas in the forest. Then proceed to Kibale forest national park passing by Rwenzori Mountain. DETAILS

Day 1: Travel from Kigali to Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park

Our driver guide will meet you at the hotel you will have spent the previous night in Kigali city. He will brief you about the whole trip and then transfer you to Bwinid impenetrable forest national park. This is 4-5 hour journey full of beautiful sceneries as you traverse through the mighty Virunga ranges. Arrival at the park will be in the evening just for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community

On this second day, you will have an early breakfast and then head out of the lodge with your packed lunch, rain coat, hiking boots, insect repellents and other things you might need individually. Proceed to the park headquarters for a simple briefing from the park ranger, here your documents will be verified and also be divided into groups of eight to enter the forest.

Gorilla trekking involves trekking through the forest in search of the mountain gorillas, it usually takes between 2-6 hours depending on how far the creatures had moved of the fitness of the group. On locating them, spend an hour watching the beautiful apes, seeing how they carry on their normal lives and taking as many photos and videos as you want with the guidance of the ranger.

The evening is for visiting the Batwa community to enjoy the local performances, taste the local delicacies at your will and return back to the lodge for slumber.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park via Rwenzori Mountain

Today, shortly after breakfast the guide will transfer you to Kibale forest national park. The journey is about six hours, driving through the beautiful sceneries along the road and having stopovers for photos. Lunch will be enroute

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland

Have an early morning breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for a simple briefing about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee tracking and then enter into the forest. Chimpanzee tracking involves walking through the slippery trails in the forest, following the chimps as they jump from one tree branch to the other.

On meeting them, spend strictly an hour here, seeing how the chimps carry on their daily lives, how they feed, associate with each other, baby chimps playing with each other, the whole experience is unforgettable. From here trek back to the headquarters and to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon visit the Bigodi wetland, another home for numerous primates like baboons and monkeys. See different insects and tree species, a whole natural diversity beautiful to the eyes.

Day 5: Mountain Rwenzori and Transfer to Entebbe Airport

Shortly after breakfast, head to Mountain Rwenzori national park for a 2 hour hike and start the journey to Entebbe airport to catch up with your flight back home.
