Overview

Learn and discover more during this great adventure of 8 days Uganda safari. You will be picked up as soon as you arrive at the airport by our driver guide who will take you to all places of your adventure.

During the safari you will start with Murchison and many animals will be spotted like rhinos, giraffes and many others. Trekking of chimpanzees in Kibale National Park will be your next step as you continue to Queen Elizabeth for the rare tree-climbing lions. Proceed with your safari and come to an end with the boat ride at Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale district.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Be picked up and transfer to the hotel

Our driver-guide will pick you up at the airport or any place of your location and take you to the lodge/ hotel for lunch. After relaxing and take a tour around the lodge as you observe beautiful birds singing in their melodies and flying from one point to another. Have your dinner late evening and night stay as you prepare for the departure to Murchison the next day.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park

Have breakfast at the lodge and transfer to Murchison falls National Park. Take a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for about 2 to 3 hours trekking rhinos and continue with the journey to Murchison falls national park at the lodge for lunch. However, you may choose to do a game drive where you will be able to spot many wild animals such as oribis, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda kobs and many others. After drive back to the lodge for dinner and a night's stay.

Day 3: Depart to Kibale National Park

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast and check out to Kibale National Park. After a long drive you will have a stopover in Fort portal for lunch and then proceed with the journey to the primate capital of the world that Kibale. Kibale gained that name due to the number of primates protected within the park which are 13 in number including the chimpanzees. But above all chimpanzee trekking is the main activity done in the park. You will continue with your journey to Kibale and check in with your booked lodge for dinner and a night's stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking, tea and coffee experience

You will do your trekking early morning therefore, have your breakfast as early as possible and drive to the starting point where you will meet the park ranger guide and set off for the walk-in search for chimpanzees. After trekking any group of chimpanzees, you will spend only four hours with them that is one in search of them, two in presence with them and one descending to the starting point. After moving back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will move for a tea and coffee experience with the Isunga cultural community where you will enjoy the experience of both cash crops from the garden to the table using local methods. Retreat to the lodge for dinner and a night's stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Arise from your warm bed early morning and have your breakfast then after transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have stopover at some of the crater lakes that you would not have explored during the experience and proceed with your journey. Before getting to the booked lodge, stopover at the equator in Kasese and enjoy your picnic lunch. Proceed to lodge and check in, and have your dinner and night's stay.

Day 6: Game drive and transfer to lake Bunyonyi

Wake up early and have your breakfast and set off for the game drive. With the company of the ranger guide who will be fully armed start your drive where you will spot numerous wildlife like elephants, warthog, buffalos, antelopes, and many others. For further you have a high chance of spotting the rare tree-climbing lions resting up in the trees or sleeping along the road which will make your day more colorful.

Return to the lodge for lunch and then transferring to Bunyonyi in Kabale - the second deepest lake in Africa and comprises 29 historical islands.

Day 7: Boat ride at Lake Bunyonyi

The boat ride at lake Bunyonyi has been a great experience and activity carried out on this lake. You will have your breakfast and set off for the experience when it's still morning. View the surrounding hills, and water animals, such as hippos, crocodiles and many others. Record a good number of water birds during this ride, fish species caught by fishermen, not forgetting the different islands that will be discovered like the punishment island and many more with great history. Later on, retreat to the lodge for lunch. After you can stretch or move around the lodge to prepare for next day’s departure or take a hike.

Day 8: Departure

After early morning breakfast, depart to Kampala and the drive will take you about 7 to 8 hours depending on your speed, interest and how much you will see while on the way. Before reaching Kampala have a stopover for lunch and check in the community craft shop to buy some souvenirs for remembrance while back home. After proceeding with the journey to Kampala and being dropped at the airport then fly back home.
